Spectator Wine School - Bordeaux Masterclass

We're thrilled to introduce an exciting new series of wine events in collaboration with The Spectator and handpicked Luxury Restaurant Guide destinations. Led by The Spectator drinks editor, Jonathan Ray, this 2025 vinous journey is designed for the 'enthusiastic amateur,' blending relaxed enjoyment with expert insights.

There’s nowhere to touch Bordeaux for prestige and you are in for a treat as Laura Taylor – director of their partners Private Cellar and regular visitor to the region as she completes her Master of Wine exams – guides you from Left Bank, where Cabernet is king, to Right Bank, where Merlot reigns. You will taste reds, dry whites and sweet whites and discuss how best to buy en primeur.

The Vineyard is the perfect location to host their next Spectator Wine School ‘Away’ event. The tasting itself will be held in their beautiful California Bar which boasts a bespoke mural telling the tale of the infamous battle between French and California Wine which later became known as The Judgement of Paris.
