Restaurants: Dinner By Heston and Bar BouludLady Astor Suite – Cliveden, Taplow, Berkshire SL6 0JF: Named after one of the house’s most famous owners, it has views over the parterre, a large private terrace and is decorated with antiques and original works of art and ornate overmantle that dates from the reign of Elizabeth I. Restaurants: The Dining Room at Cliveden and Astor GrillDavid Hicks Room – Stapleford Park, Stapleford, Melton Mowbray LE14 2EF: A dramatic room, leading off a long private lobby, in the oldest part of the house. The barrel-shaped ceiling and walls are hand painted. The bed is in the middle of the room under a stripped canopy, which drapes to the four corners. The bathroom is striking in black and white.
