Discover Starhotels and our insider guide on how to dine and travel best:
The Gore
The Gore is arguably on one of the most picturesque streets in London, near Hyde Park’s Albert Memorial gates and just minutes from The Royal Albert Hall. Yet despite it being in a ritzy neighbourhood, it remains splendidly unassuming. This plays to The Gore’s magic as an English haven for artistic luminaries, celebrities and aristocrats over the years. Notably, The Gore’s iconic Bar 190 was where The Rolling Stones chose to celebrate the album launch of “Beggars Banquet”, cementing its status as a symbol of British hospitality with its cult-like, vintage elegance.
190 Queen’s Gate at The Gore has traded for decades, majoring in refined-but-classic bistro fare. Old-school looks and comfortable ambiance, the cuisine is top-notch, overseen by Chef Frederick Forster, Chef of the Year in 2011 and Master of Culinary Arts in 2013. Today, he is a TV regular on “Saturday Kitchen,” “Steph’s Packed Lunch,” “Beat The Chef,” and “Celebrity MasterChef” in 2022.

The Pelham Hotel
The Pelham pioneered the ’boutique’ hotel concept that has captivated the world since. Just minutes from Brompton Road, Fulham Road, Walton Street, and Harrods, this five-star hotel blends classic English style with bold, modern twist.
At the heart of The Pelham is La Trattoria by Alfredo Russo, a vibrant tribute to Italian cuisine. Turin-born Russo, named Italy’s Best Young Chef and awarded a Michelin star for his restaurant Dolce Stil Novo, has skilfully reinterpreted Italian traditions. He has opened award-winning restaurants in Italy and Dubai, and now London. Russo is also a frequent regular on Italian and Israeli television and the author of numerous books.
