Renowned Michelin-starred chef Akira Back makes his UK debut at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, presenting two exceptional dining venues: Akira Back and Dosa. The main restaurant, Akira Back, offers innovative Japanese cuisine to 148 guests, featuring signature dishes like the acclaimed ‘AB Tuna Pizza’ and exclusive creations such as ‘Wagyu tempura wellington’. Meanwhile, Dosa, his Michelin-starred concept, showcases a set menu inspired by the four seasons, including unique cocktails like the ‘Bouquet of Guangzhou’ and ‘Javapolitan’. Complementing these experiences is the chic ABar Lounge, designed by Tokyo-based studio Curiosity, promising a sensory journey. Channeling the laid-back charm of the French Riviera, it offers a Mediterranean sharing concept and brings famous signature dishes such as whole sea bass baked in salt crust with sauce vierge and warm “Cote d’Azur” style potato salad. The highlight? A standalone Mimosa bar serving five devilled egg flavors. With a commitment to preserving the effortless elegance of the original venue, Tara plans to offer an all-day dining experience with a French brasserie flair and a martini trolley.
