Full List of Michelin Restaurants for Great Britain and Ireland 2021

Michelin has announced the latest winners of its Michelin-star awards in a virtual ceremony held on 25 January 2021. The top accolades went to Hélène Darroze (pictured with Chef’s team) and Clare Smyth, both awarded three Michelin stars, bringing the UK’s overall tally to seven. The event also saw three London restaurants upgrade to two stars and 17 restaurants achieved one star. Only two restaurants lost their stars who are still operating, being Jason Atherton’s Social Eating House and Aquavit; while Umu dropped from two down to one star.

The awards come during the industry’s most difficult period ever, as well as questions over judging during the period. Michelin has advised that it started work on the 2021 guide in August 2019, with most inspections completed before lockdown in March 2020.
