About the AA Rosette Awards
The AA Rosette Awards were established in 1956. The allocation of rosettes is determined by one or more visits by an AA inspector to a hotel or restaurant about the restaurant. Rosettes can be from one to five; five being the highest attainable. Luxury Restaurant Guide lists those with three, four and five AA Rosettes.
AA stars is an award for the hotel, and a AA red star is an award given to hotels that are considered the best in the British Isles in that category.
