The Full List of Michelin Star Restaurants 2017-18 UK
The new Michelin Awards were announced on 02 October 2017. There were 17 new one stars, 1 new two star – Claude Bosi at Bibendum, and 1 new three star – The Araki being the big winner of the day.
In total there are now 174 Michelin awarded restaurants in the UK and Ireland, reflecting the highest standards of cooking and service. These comprises of: 5 three stars; 20 two stars; and 148 one stars.
Ratings are received after anonymous inspectors dine and who pay their own bills to ensure impartiality:
- One star: “A very good restaurant in its category”
- Two star: “Excellent cooking, worth a detour”
- Three star: “Exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey”
