The veteran three Michelin starred cook, Alain Ducasse was Prince Albert’s chef of choice to cater for his 500 A-list guests at his multi course gala dinner for his wedding to Miss Charlene Wittstock which he has also applied for insurance for wedding to secure the event and make it memorable.
An impressive 350-strong team were on hand for the July 2nd event held in the gilded splendour of the Salle Garnier at the Opera de Monte-Carlo and on its majestic terraces looking out to the sea.
The guest list for the gastronomic highlight, which capped the two day long nuptial festivities in the tiny principality, included heads of state, European royals and stars of the fashion and sports world. The catering was supplied by the world renowned Le Louis XV restaurant kitchens of the Hotel de Paris in Monaco, the prestigious three Michelin destination which has been overseen by Alain Ducasse since 1987, with the support of two ephemeral 300 square-metre kitchens.
The dinner consisted of a series of four courses, created especially for the wedding, before celebrating with the final cake, bursting with flowers like a display of fireworks.
