What’s New At The Dorchester & 45 Park Lane
Dorchester Collection’s iconic British hotel, The Dorchester, reopened on 4th September 2020, with all new dining experiences. Here’s what to expect:
NEW: The Dorchester Terrace & Garden
The Dorchester launched its all new seasonal al fresco hotspot, The Dorchester Terrace & Garden, perched on the hotel’s famous forecourt. Perfect for cocktail lovers, The Dorchester Terrace & Garden has just seven tables of two, serving an all new cocktail menu from The Bar at The Dorchester’s award winning team of alchemists. And it’s not just for the remains of summer, a winter terrace is planned in November too.
World-class cuisine at The Dorchester
To follow in the footsteps of The Dorchester’s renowned alumni, such as Anton Mosimann, Henry Brosi and Willi Elsener, the group has announced Mario Perera as the hotel’s new executive chef. Mario first joined The Dorchester over 18 years ago and has risen through the culinary ranks. He will assume responsibility for overseeing the hotel’s extensive brigade of more than 100 chefs.
The Grill at The Dorchester
Culinary institution The Grill at The Dorchester reopens with all new dishes including mackerel with late summer tomatoes, basil and tomato essence, as well as new puddings such as banana soft-serve with crispy walnuts, caramel and lockdown banana bread. Head chef Tom Booton’s famed Lobster Thermidor tart remains centre stage, with a ‘Thermidor Thursday’ where guests can indulge in this modern twist of the classic dish at £35 per person on Thursdays.
As autumn arrives, The Grill at The Dorchester is the place to be for an indulgent three course Sunday Lunch. Guests can enjoy specially created Sunday savoury cocktails on arrival at the restaurant. Following the sellout success of The Dorchester at Home afternoon tea delivery in the summer, the hotel is continuing with a new delivery and collection service of Make-It-Yourself boxes from The Grill. The MIY deliveries include all the ingredients to create dishes such as the Beef Wellington or Lobster Thermidor tart. All deliveries come accompanied with recipe cards by the chefs from the hotel, with guidance on how to create the perfect dining experience at home.
And, available on Wednesdays, The Grill will be extending the government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme by offering a 50% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks up to £10 per person.
