Overview

One is greeted by a handsome, top-hatted doorman and escorted through a pretty candlelit courtyard full of greenery. The restaurant sits in a beautiful red-brick building that was formerly one of London’s first fire stations. This is an André Balazs project, he of LA’s Chateau Marmont and The Mercer in New York. Balazs adores glamour and it breathes through the well-cut uniforms of the staff and the whip-sharp style of the decor. The dining room is like a movie set dripping with elegance and old-school values but with generous margin for moral badness.
